The first Federation Cup was organized to select the team to represent Turkey at European Champions' Cup, since the Turkish League hasn't started, yet.
The format
30 clubs participated - 10 from İstanbul, 10 from İzmir, 8 from Ankara, and 2 from Adana.
İstanbul and İzmir professional leagues had 10 clubs and Ankara professional league had 8 clubs at the time. There were only two more professional clubs in other cities, both from Adana at the time. They added to the Ankara group and the first stage was played in three groups.
Ten team groups played the first round to lower the teams to 8 with a cup style format - one game knockout format.
Then 8 teams were paired at the second round and 4 more clubs at each group were eliminated.
The third round was the group finals for each group and two clubs from each qualified to the Second Stage.
The final was played in the league format - each club playing each other twice, on home-away basis.

However, TFF forgot to send their name for the draw on time and they couldn't play.
