2. European Champions' Cup

The Tournament

The cup is restricted to the league winners and the title holder only.
The countries without a league competition were not admitted anymore. This rule is applied to the Saarland Football Federation for the first time which play in the German League structure.
The competition changed its name to European Champions' Cup.

Bulgaria, Czechoslavakia, England, Luxembourg, Romania, and Turkey joined the cup.

The title holder starts the competition from the First Round.
