CHEESE

River Rats Hockey Club Headquarters: The saddest moment in River Rats history was announced today at a River Rats press conference. The River Rats are disbanding but they leave behind a rich history with many great moments and many great players. Player/Coach Reggie Dunlap took a moment to try to single out some of the great Rat players that he had skated with over the years. He was emotional and may have missed some but he mentioned players such as Frank, Kevin and Hanibal on D and Mark, Darby, Robin,Adam, Todd on O and Joe, Steve and Doug between the pipes. He also remembered some of the "hard working grinders" that every team needs such as Dave, Brian, the Dutcher Bros., Charlie, Clay, Jon, Stan and every other player that ever pulled on the Rats sweater. "I've played in every season since American Hockey opened it's doors, over ten years, I can't believe that these people who now run this league have screwed things up so badly that it has to end!" Reggie finished his career at American Hockey with 363 games played, 77 goals, 139 assists, and 62 pim. At fifty-two is he finished? Time will tell

Dicky Dunn, "Just trying to capture the spirit."
