This site is dedicated to locating and bringing together all the U.S. Navy sailors, Officers and Enlisted, as well as civilians who served at the U.S. Naval Communication Station in Derry. The Magee College campus of the University of Ulster is fortunate to possess a large collection of nearly 4,000 photographic negatives of pictures of Derry and the North-West of Ireland, dating from the 1860s up to about 1970. This collection was established by the Institute of Continuing Education in Magee in the early 1970s and has been an invaluable source of information for local historians.
