The various wooden birds are meticulously carved by a group of african artisans based in Shawasha Zimbabwe led by Ed Chipatiko. Each bird takes a whole day to sculpt, another day to mound in a scenario with other birds. The whole process is a spiritual journey for the artist, as each bird is said to come out different with a soul of its own. Welcome to the cultural wooden art of Southern Africa. Enchanting. We have had a lot of excitement with these carved birds. We are NOW shipping within 14 days to Europe, Asia and Northern America. Other areas take different periods; but they do get there. Airmail is faster if you request it, it takes half as long to get your birds. We are ready to answer any other questions that you may have.
