Fusion is an ancient technique used by the Kaio-shins, or the rulers of a particular area in a combination of galaxies. This technique
combines the power and characteristics of the two people who perform it. For example, if Bill Clinton and Saddam Huisen performed fusion, the
warrior, or person I should say, that is formed would probably want some anthrax but still have an urge to get funky with some interns. The name of
this character would be somewhere around the lines of "Billam" or "Sadill" Another example: used in Super Smash Bros. (I use this example often because both have actually appeared in the game due to a glitch ^_^), if Yoshi and Luigi fused, the creation
would be called either "Yogi" or "Luishi". There are two types of fusion. (1) Potara Fusion and (2) Dance Fusion.
Both of these are witnessed in DragonBall Z, let me explain them.

First off, Potara Fusion...this kind of fusion was used in the battle with Majin Buu. While its effects are supposedly permanent, this tends to be untrue
in many cases. For instance, when Son Gokou and Vegeta use the Potara Earrings (given to Gokou by Kaio-shin while he was thought to be dead), both wore one earring on the opposite ear of the other and were
automatically pulled together into one. In that case, they formed "Vegetto" or "Vegitto", however you want to spell it. Vegetto wore the clothes of both Vegeta and Gokou. This effect also combines the two's fighting techniques
and special moves...Vegetto's signature move is the "Big Bang Kamehameha", a combination of Gokou's Kamehameha and Vegeta's Big Bang Attack and the "Kaioh-shin Energy Drill", which knocked Buu unconscience, because of the person whom Gokou gained the Potara Earrings from. Since Buu was beaten so easily when Vegetto came along, and the fact that Vegetto was merely playing with Buu in SSJ the whole time, I believe that Vegetto is far superior to Gogeta because
of the power he is capable of. Plus, you never get to see his full potential...and anyways, if Vegetto and Gogeta ever fought, Gogeta would lose in 30 minutes no matter what! |

Gotenks 2 | Dance fusion is a lot different than Potara. It requires no earrings and its effects only last for 30 minutes. Anyone who knows the procedure and has a partner of equal power, height, etc...can do this. Gokou teaches Chibi Trunks and Goten this technique. Their
creation? Gotenks. Vegeta and Gokou can also do this just as easy, creating Gogeta. Gotenks is the only fusion character able to go Super Saiya-jin Level 3, Gogeta is the only one that lasts from DragonBall Z Movie 12:
"Rebirth of Fusion" and onto DragonBall GT. He is also the only fusion character capable to go Super Level 4, making him Super Gogeta Level 4. Gogeta is quite different
than Vegetto. Gogeta might possess more power than Vegetto but it is unsaid because Vegetto's power is never truly experienced but, in my humble opinion, Vegetto is stronger (of course, others think differently)... Apparently the effects of the Fusion Dance also change Gogeta and Gotenks clothing into a weird, gold vest. Gogeta's signature move is "Final Kamehameha", for those of you who do not know the origin of this, it is the combination of Vegeta's "Final Flash" and Son Gokou's "Kamehameha" yet again.
Gotenks is odd in that he has a Kami-kazi Ghost Attack (which is the coolest move EVER) where duplicate ghosts of Gotenks explode at the opponent and a Donut move to squeeze the life out of his opponent. Unfortunately, this tactic is used against Gohan and the Z warriors in the Buu Saga because Majin Buu gains this ability after transforming into Majin Buupinks. |
