The Subjunctive Mood

The subjunctive mood is also called "the conditional mood" in that it is used in spectulation and possibility.  It is also used to express wish or desire.

Present Subjunctive:  Suggests an action that would take
place in an exchange of position, or
                                       expresses a wish or desire.

e.g.    'Eko kete leeo mvi de kete eseo.
I would read if I were you.

e.g.    'Eko voleo ke eka loch kete leea.
I want you to read it (lit. I want that you would read it).

Imperfect Subjunctive:  Suggests an action that would
have taken place had there been
an exchange of postion, or suggests
                                          the intent of an action.

e.g.    'Eko kete lam-leeo mvi kete eseo.
I  would have read it if I were you.

e.g.    'Eko lam-leeo ke kete aprendeo.
                I was reading that I would/might learn.
