Once you learn how gummy candy is made, you'll never eat it again. The way most gum-based candy is made might scar you forever. If you’ve ever had a vegetarian friend turn down a fruit snack or cup of Jello, you know it’s because many of those products are made with gelatin. Gelatin is a gelling agent made from animal skin and bones. But knowing what gelatin is can’t prepare you for seeing how it’s made. (If you still want to see how it is made go to Vimeo where it is posted.) Considering gelatin is made up of animal skin and bones, gummy worms technically have more bones than actual worms (since worms don't have any).

To celebrate this delightful holiday an extra dessert should be eaten sometime during the course of this day. Desserts are sweet foods that are commonly eaten at the end of a meal. There are countless types of desserts, including foods such as cakes, pastries, cookies, pies and my personal favorite dessert - ice cream! The word "dessert" is derived from the French word "desservir", which means "to clear the table".
