
Later that night, after everyone left, Leslie helped Nick clean things up. They got done and went into the living room. Nick sat down on the couch, and Leslie joined him. He pulled her close and kissed her head. “I love you so much, you know that don’t you?” He heard her silent yes and snuggled up next to her. “Stay with me here tonight. Just let me sit here and hold you all night. That was the thing that I missed the most while I was gone, just the feel of you beside me.” Leslie grinned.
“I love you too.” She layed down with her head in his lap. He put his arm around her and ran his hand through her hair. She was asleep in no time. Nick settled back in the couch, and the two fell asleep….they were soon awaken by phone call. Nick rubbed his eyes and sat up a little.
“Hello?” he said as Leslie too woke up. “Hello?” Nick hung up the phone.
“Who was that?” Leslie asked him.
“I don’t know, wrong number I guess. What time is it?” He looked at his watch, it was only 3:30. They both went back to sleep.
The next day Leslie and Nick stayed out on Nick’s boat. They were spending the day together because Nick would be busy in rehearsal for the next show the next day. That night, Leslie stayed over at Nick’s again. Right before they went up to bed, Nick asked Leslie to make sure that the glass door was shut and locked. She went to the back and noticed that the door was open. She went to shut it, but stopped when she heard a rustling noise. She walked outside, “Hello?” Leslie heard the noise again…she thought that it was coming from the bushes. “Is anyone there?” Leslie looked around again, but heard and saw nothing. She shrugged, shut the door, and went back inside.
What Leslie didn’t know however was that there was something in the bushes…not just something either….but someone...
