The guys rehearsed all day and got ready for their big concert. They were shooting a special there in Florida before oficially starting the North American tour. The show started around 8 that night. Everything was going great. The band sounded awesome and the guys had never sounded better. The dancers were hitting every move perfectly and the crowd was loving every bit of it. Nick was so excited. He couldn’t wait for everyone in his home town to see the new special effects in the Millennium show. The pyros were way more intense and the guys were going to fly again. After a little while, the guys got to some of the songs from the first album. Nick and AJ were on adjacent sides, as were Brian and Kevin. The show continued to go great the whole way through, and it was finally time for the biggest pyro display. As the guys started to walk around and switch sides in the round, Nick felt himself getting more and more excited. As the first flash went off, Nick felt the heat against his face. That was the small one. He next one would be bigger. Nick did a little turn and turned back around to see the bright flash…..and felt a hard shove from behind.
Nick screamed as his jacket went up in flames. He could hear the shrieks and gasps from the crowd. Dozens of men rushed on stage as Nick screamed in agony. He was screaming words as well…but no one could understand them as they were muffled by his shreaks of pain. Brian however finally made out what he was saying. “Somebody pushed him!!”….
