Leslie, Nick and Kevin arrived at the police station a little while after AJ. The police had put AJ in a holding cell until things could be straightened out. As Nick paced around angrily, Leslie looked up at him, “ Nick?”
“What!” Leslie was startled, nick was so angry at AJ.
“Baby, I um….I don’t ….I don’t want to press…charges….”
Nick turned and looked at her, “ You what? Leslie , the bastard raped you! What do you mean you don’t want to press charges? Wait….did he threaten you?”
Leslie shook her head no , “ Nick, I know what AJ did was wrong…but you weren’t there. When he saw my eyes , saw the fear in them…he just…well, something changed. I could see the anger and rage leave his eyes. Nick he was sorry. He was truly sorry. “ Leslie stood up and walked over to the officer that had arrested AJ. “Sir? Um, I have decided not to press charges. Could you please let AJ go?” Leslie looked at Nick as he shook his head.
The officer looked at Leslie, “ Ma’am, are you sure? We have him on kidnapping and rape…” Leslie nodded her head. The officer sighed and went to the front desk for the paper work. Leslie could tell that she was the only one that thought this was the right decision. She walked to Nick and reached for his hand. He pulled away.
“No, Leslie you made a big mistake.” Nick walked away. Leslie sat down and looked around. Kevin walked to her and pulled her back up. He hugged her and whispered in her ear.
“I think you have made the right decision. Just give Nick some time.” Leslie thanked Kevin and hugged him back. She was glad that he was being so supportive. The two of them had never really been close, but she felt safe in his arms right now. She pulled away and turned to go after Nick. Kevin pulled on her hand. As she turned around, he winked at her and said, “If you need me, you know where to find me. “ Leslie smiled and just thought to herself…o..kay…anyway, she had to find Nick.

Kevin greeted AJ as a cop escorted him out. “Hey man.” AJ nodded at Kevin. As the two walked out of the station, Kevin stopped AJ , “ Man…I don’t understand…what happened? You didn’t follow the plan….”
