Leslie glanced down at her sore, bruised hand. She looked around and then out the window. She couldn’t see the driveway though. She had no idea where AJ was. She got the cell phone and quickly dialed 911. She told them where she was then dialed Nick’s cell phone. “Hello?”
“Nick!! Nick help I’m at Denise’s house and Aj…..” Leslie was cut off as she heard the bedroom door slam against the wall as it was thrown open. Aj ran to Leslie and knocked the phone from her hand.
“Look! I don’t want to hurt you…so if you behave like a good little girl…then things will go a lot easier…understand?” Leslie shook her head as AJ stared at her with evil eyes. These were the same eyes that she had seen laughter and comfort in for years. Leslie didn’t understand. AJ was her best friend. Why was he doing this?
She looked at him once again and in a muffled, weak voice, she asked him,”Why?” AJ stopped what he was doing and sat down beside her.
“You want to know why huh? Well I’ll tell you. Before you met Nick, you and I did everything together. We were best friends, but now. Now he gets all your time. I mean, I’ve liked you for a long time Leslie. I mean LIKED you like you…and you led me on. You crazy little bitch…you led me on. Always playing around with me and hugging me…you always came to me with your problems.
“Aj I never led you on, I …”
“Shut up! Anyway….I saw you two by that tree the other night. I saw what you two were doing. And now you’re getting married? No, I don’t think so. I won’t let that happen. So, you’re here with me now and everything is fine.” AJ tightened the cuffs on Leslie’s hands. He looked at her and then said he would be right back. Leslie was praying that the police would get there fast…she had no idea what AJ was about to do.
Meanwhile…
The police had gotten in touch with Brian. Brian called Nick and told him that Leslie was at Denise’s and that the police were on their way. Nick was closer than them already so he pressed on the gas and sped that way. He just hoped that he wasn’t too late…..
