I want to moan about the treatment of ethnic minority actors on the television and in films. They're so stereotyped, it really gets on my nerves. I know they're only in soaps and dramas to spark off storylines about racial issues.

Teen flicks such as Clueless where black teenagers only date other black teenagers are another thing that irritates me. These films are so dated because where I live it's normal to go out with someone who's a different colour.

How often do you see an Asian or Oriental face in a leading role in Hollywood blockbusters? Never.

These actors are just as talented and just as attractive in their own right as white actors. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying white actors don't deserve their roles- they do. But it would be nice to see a wider range of actors from different ethnic groups.

I'm 16 and my ultimate dream is to be an actress. I'm part black/ part white and I can't help feeling that I won't be as successful or that I won't even be given the chance to try, unlike someone who is white.

Casting directors need to wake up- it's nearly the 21st century and actors should be cast for their talent, not their colour.
