The walking tour included:
  • Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, where there was a special exhibit of Marilyn Monroe Personal items!
  • The Hollywood Entertainment Museum, where there was a special 75th Birthday Celebration exhibit for Marilyn Monroe!
  • Grauman's Chinese Theater, where Marilyn's hand and footprints are!!
  • Marilyn's Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star!
  • The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel!
  • DRIVING TOUR:

    This 5 hour driving tour included numerous Marilyn-related locations.

    * Indicates sites where we stopped for photo taking.

  • * The Hollywood Studio Club (Where Marilyn lived during her starlet days 1948-49)
  • * Hollygrove, Los Angeles Children's Orphanage (Norma Jeane lived on & off from 1935-37)
  • * Paramount Studios (Former RKO Studio)
  • * Tom Kelly Studio(Where Marilyn's Famous Red Velvet Nudes were taken)
  • * 8122 Waring Avenue, The Wrong Door Raid (Home Joe DiMaggio & Frank Sinatra broke into)
  • * Marilyn Monroe Theater/Lee Strasberg Institute
  • Barney's Beanery (Marilyn ate here often)
  • * 882 North Doheny Drive (Marilyn's apartment during 1953-54 & 1961-62)
  • * 508 North Palm Drive (Home she lived with Joe DiMaggio during 1954)
  • * 718 North Palm Drive (Home where she lived with Johnny Hyde durning 1949-1950)
  • * Beverly Hills Hotel (Marilyn lived in this hotel on and off during 1952-53)
  • UCLA (Marilyn took a film study course here)
  • * 12305 Fifth Helena Drive (Marilyn last house she lived in 1962-)
  • 625 Palisades Beach Road, Peter Lawford Estate (Home where Marilyn was rumored to visit J.F.K)
  • * 432 South Bentley Ave (Home where Norma Jeane married Jim Dougherty)
  • * 141 S. Carolwood Hills, home of Johnny Schenck (Marilyn lived in the Owlwood guest house in 1949)
  • * 10100 Sunset Blvd Jayne Mansfield's Pink Palace
  • Sunset Strip -Where we saw additional Marilyn related locations such as Villa Nova (now the Rainbow Grill, Marilyn had her first date with Joe DiMaggio here), Mocambo (the club where Marilyn helped Ella Fitzgerald get a gig, now torn down), Argyle Hotel (where MM stayed as a hotel guest), Ciro's (night club Marilyn frequented, now the Comedy Store), The Chateau Marmont Hotel, Schwab's drugstore (now a Virgin Records store), and Parisian Florists (who delivered Joe DiMaggio's roses to Marilyn's crypt for 20 years)
  • DINNER: The Memorial Dinner was attended by many special guests, including Marilyn photographers. The Dinner took place at Musso and Frank's Bar and Grill on Hollywood Blvd, a restaurant Marilyn herself frequented with Joe DiMaggio!

  • Mickey Song (JFK and Bobby Kennedy Hairstylist who brushed Marilyn's hair out for The Madison Gardens Event)
  • Phil Stern (Marilyn Photographer and good friend of James Dean)
  • The Marilyn Monroe Memorial Service took place at 2pm at Westwood Memorial Park. There were wonderful speakers and the event was attended by celebrities, fans and press. At the end of the event the original Lee Strasberg eulogy was played over the chapel speakers.
