Santoor:

This is an indigenous Kashmiri instrument that of the Dulcimer category played by Sufiyana, Indian classical and light music musicians. Pundit Shiv Kumar Sharma and Pundit Bhajan Sopori have made it famous in the whole world with their rare contribution in promotion and development of this instrument. Some say its name originated from SHAT TANTRI VEENA, some are of the opinion that its origin is from central Asia or Persian land and thus it is the name Santoor is Persian one. One more etymology has been given that this an (SAN) musical instrument which takes one to the highest heights of (TOOR) consciousness. Whatsoever be the origin Kashmiries have this with them for expressing the divine within and spread compassion through its vibrating rhythmic notes.

Rabab: 

Again a string instrument played by the folk singers of Kashmir is worth to be listened with a  unique style. The artistes sing along with while playing and soothing music is thus created.

Nout:

The earthen pitcher specially made for the purpose of playing with the folk artistes creates an  atmosphere of well-nit rhythm.

Tumbakhnaer: 

This an earthen instrument on which a goats skin is put on the top to create rhythm and this is played by the folk artistes and on all social occasions like marriage and all happy occassions.
