The Melbourne Male Voice Choir
commenced approx 40 years ago and being undenominational, draws on men from all walks of life and across a wide spectrum of Christian churches. Currently the choir has 34 members. The only stipulation for choir membership is that each member must be a committed Christian.

The choir performs throughout churches in the metropolitan area, at retirement villages and aged persons retreats etc. Biennially, choirs from Brisbane, Bundaberg, Sydney ,Melbourne and Geelong combine for a ‘Festival’ which is held in Brisbane. In the alternate year, a Festival is often held in another capital city. The 'Festival' mirrors similar choirs in Great Britain and presents a varied programme from the old to more modern music.

New 2011 engagements updated in Coming Events.

The Melbourne Festival of Male Voice Praise was held at Grace Church, Wantirna on 23rd October, 2010. 90 men took part and included representatives from Brisbane, Bundaberg, Geelong and New Zealand choirs. A varied programme was presented of inspiring choral arrangements, solos and instrumental accompaniments.

The programme included the blind soloist/pianist Peter Breen and a popular male quartette, The Couriers. The audience showed their appreciation for each item. This Festival saw the resignation of our esteemed conductor Arthur Coates from participation in future Festivals. He will still retain his role as Lead conductor of the Melbourne choir but with reduced conducting activity. The gap will be filled by some associate conductors
