There are many different kinds of
musical instruments. In an orchestra, there are four instrument families--the strings, woodwinds, brass, and
percussion; each family has its own
distinct characteristics.
When you reach the Fourth Grade,
you will have the opportunity to play a
musical instrument in the school orchestra or band.
After completing this quest, you will know enough about each instrument to
make an informed decision as to which
instrument you might like to play!
