    Growing up, Will always had a passion for the arts. From wanting to be a visual artist, and then an actor, he picked up his father's guitar at age 17 and started learning how to play. Before he could even play chords all that well he wrote his first song and knew that this was going to be his new passion. At age 20, Will met up with Charlie Lambrick and learned a lot. He then formed a band called Orphic and thought that things were panning out quite well, but one Saturday afternoon, Will and his best friend Kevin sat down to jam and discovered that they had great potential to work together. At first Will planned to have the URBAN disciples as a side project, but then realized that he would be much happier giving this band his all. Will plays guitar, harmonica and sings for the love of life and God, and believes that this is the right path for him.

    Kevin Currently works as a Coordinator of Youth Ministry at St. John the Baptist Church.  Kevin formed a drama and speaking group called "Mizpah ON-Trial" which allowed Kevin and his team of five to travel around the London Diocese sharing how God works in their lives. This is where the idea of the URBAN disciples was born. Kevin had this idea that if they could also have a band behind the drama and the speaking, it would be complete. He told Will Hawksworth about the idea and they began to write songs together. Soon the drama and the speaking had to be put on the back burner because God seemed to have different plans. Kevin holds strongly to his heart the words, "Where he leads me, I will go", and this is where Kevin feels God is leading him and his band mates. Kevin Plays the guitar, harmonica and sings all thanks to the big G.O.D. and his best friend Will.

    Al moved to Canada in 1983. He started playing music rather late. In 1997, Al was watching a practice for his church band and they asked him to play some percussion in the background for their upcoming gig. At first he didn't want to, but after they bugged him repeatedly, he picked up the Cabasa and played along. He then moved on to Bongos and Congas and became known as Al Bongo. Alberto believes in keeping the basics. He loves to cook and has a passion for history and movies. The URBAN disciples to Al, is a way to let loose, let go, and have fun.

    Ben started playing music at age 11. He first played the trumpet, then moved on to the piano, and at age 15 he started to pick up guitar and drums. Without a formal lesson, Ben progressed very quickly and started playing for his church. His passion for music and his potential to take his talent far is surely evident.  Ben hopes that his sound will go far in the URBAN disciples, and bring a nice twist to the songs.

    Unaware of his passion for music, he thought he could be a famous baseball player, but after 5 years of intense training and a batting average of .000, he left his dream.  He was alone... feeling like someone slapped him in the face and left him.  Yet a new light was dawning and suddenly all Greg could think of, do or say was "DRUMS".  Like a bad sporn, nagging for his parents to help fund his new quest didn't stop.  After two decades of practising, he is now rockin' full-time and is incredibly poor due to the student life.
