*In an exclusive interview with band member, Kevin, I picked up the following scoops:

*The band just signed with Ripple Management yesterday and they are very excited about it.

*Matt from The Scarecrows (who are on the cd Christmas Mission: 2001) will be filming some footage of the guys tomorrow.  The footage should be on the enhanced cd.

*Speaking of the cd, due to unforseen circumstances, the production of the cd has been delayed, but the good news is it should be out within the month!

*The band will debut a new song tomorrow night at the Capitol Sessions.  The song is called "All I Am" and it will be on the capitol sessions cd which comes out in June.

*And the most important news of all....
You may have noticed some new faces on the website.  The band has acquired a new bassist as well as a drummer.  Jeff Meloche on bass is a longtime friend of Will and Kev, known through the House of Shalom.  The band met Greg Samek in the studio where they borrowed his high hats.  After Chris chose to move on, they decided to give Greg a shot.   The rest is history folks!

*Hi Stephie, here is a press release for our upcoming CD.  Sincerely, Will.*

URBAN DISCIPLES MAKE CHANGES!
On Labour Day Weekend 2001, this particular group of six guys got together with IARC Productions in Windsor Ontario, and began to work on their first CD entitled  "Changes", and changes were made indeed; early in the recording sessions, their drummer and bass player decided not to carry through with the project, leaving songwriters Kevin Jarvis and Will Hawksworth stirred but not shaken, but with the support of engineer/bass player Robert Ross and drummer George Manury, the bass and drum tracks were laid down, and the band continued to spill their hearts into the project.
Changes is currently being mastered by Ron Skinner of Ottawa who is known for mastering Great Big Sea, along with several other great bands.  When the CD is sent off for reproduction, the audio/video page at www.urbandisciples.ca will contain downloadable clips for your review.  You will be able to order the CD through a link on the site once reproduction is complete.
The URBAN disciples title themselves as a Pop Rock Alternative Band made up of Christians with a message for all. The band loves to play live, put smiles on faces and a warm message in hearts. With influences like Jars of Clay, BNL, Matchbox 20 and Caedmon's Call, URBAN disciples have their own unique sound with lots of harmony, along with a good mix of slow and up beat tunes.  Keeping the vision of making music their career, faith is surely evident in the music they write and the message they relay.
