And
Now A Word…from Brandon
"Jayson" Ulman |
|
|
Though it
can't muster "Top Debut" (At No. 34, that's Beyoncé's baby), Pink's
"Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" finally enters the chart at No. 42,
after almost a month in waiting. I
first scored the track a while back, and up 'til now, there's just been no
room for it. The single is a bit of a
departure for the artist, a convincing ballad that is less bubblegum and more
heavy...and 80's...with an odd swing vibe that just completely works. It's the latest in a line of fantastic
releases from last year's sales disappointment, Try
This. I just
might have to now. + And...who's that at No. 44? Why...it's Gloria Estefan! The former pop queen returns to the J-SKWD
list after a six-year absence with "I Wish You," from her latest
disc, Unwrapped. In 1998, she charted twice, first with the
No. 8 "Heaven's What I Feel," then with "Don't Let This Moment
End," which topped out at No. 13.
La espalda bienvenida, Gloria. +++ |

Quote of the week: "She went to a...what's the guy?...horseshoesmith!" -- My friend, who had somehow let the word 'blacksmith' slip from her vocabulary. |
