"Howdy!"
I'm the Old OTTER Pilot and I welcome you aboard this flight into My Sky!
Here we might enjoy Flights of Fancy and Nostalgia ~ in Song and Photos.

~ Come Fly With Me ~

This Tribute will introduce you to "My OTTER".

Her Name was
"RELIABLE-1"
and she Lived up to her Name ... especially during Her Last Flight in VIET NAM,
27 January 1969.

She Loved Me ... Unto Her Dying Day!
(And I loved her too.)

She Flew Like An ANGEL!

This was the end of "RELIABLE ONE's Final Flight!" ... Shot-down while on Climb-Out from Quang Ngai
~ 27 Jan 1969 ~

I had 13 Souls on board, including
My Co-Pilot: Lt. BARBER;
My Crew Chief: Sp5 BOATNER;
and 10 Vietnamese soldiers.

We all survived without a scratch!

"Reliable One" remained intact long enough to shelter us thru the Forced Landing! ... Even in her final moment, She didn't let me down!

~SHE WAS A LADY~

Photos of my downed "RELIABLE ONE" were made by my Wing Man, "O.Y." who Flew Cover for me,
like my Guardian Angel -- until I could be extracted.

(Owen, I still owe ya! ~ God bless ya, Buddy!)
