This month Award Goes To Andy For His Site The Old Otter Pilot

Now Lets Meet Andy an hear What He has to say:-)




I made "The Old OTTER Pilot" page mainly for my kids and Grandkids -- hoping that they will hav a better "feel" for what some of my ilk experienced during that time.

I made it a point not to belabor the horror that was all too common in Vietnam. Rather my aim was to commorate the Friendships that were formed during Trying Times; Friendships not only with My Aviator/Paratrooper Buddies, but with our aircraft as well!

My OTTER, "Reliable One" was a Sweet Lady! She never let me down! I could count on her to respond to my Touch on her controls -- almost anticipating what I wanted from her! It was a very REAL relationship between a Man and Machine!

For the record, my next Otter, "Reliable Too!" -- was exactly that!

The OTTER Pilot"s Page is also a Tribute to My Buddies who Flew and Parachuted with me during those days. We relied upon each other for Support in so many ways. We were ALL Brothers!

The Page was constructed with only my WebTv "Plus". (No computer was involved!) I have been using WebTv for 3 years and 2 months. It's lots of Fun!

My Family and I are now Retired and living in Clarksville, TN -- by Ft. Campbell, KY. (Home of the 101st Airborne Division in which I also served for a period of years during my "Paratrooper Daze!" ;-)
