Project A II
Project A II begins with the pirates left at the end of Project A vowing revenge on Ma Yu Loong (JC) for their defeat and the death of their leader. They head for the mainland where Ma Yu Loong has just been promoted in an effort to reduce the hold of the corrupt Superintendant Chan. Ma Yu Loong's first act is to arrest the local crime leaders, much to the annoyance of Chan, who had been paid off by them. While running security at a party Ma Yu Loong clashes with members of a resistence movement and later the Empress's men who are chasing them. Then the pirates turn up.
With everyone after him there are not surprisingly loads of fights in this film including some hairy ones up on giant bamboo constructions. Like the first one Project A II is a period film which gives it an unusual visual atmosphere, but don't be put off, it's well worth seeing -- particularly if you liked Project A.
