This One Is For You Moe

Tears of sadness run down my face,
Your smile and touch I can’t erase.
There is a saying that “Only the Good Die Young,”
This must be true since Moe was one.
Some of us played a game of life and death,
But you were one brother who did not play like the rest.
A heart of gold,
A smile that would light up the cold,
Yes you were a gentle soul one that did not fit the mold,
Not the mold that many of us fit,
Those that just don’t give a shit!
Many of us banged and maimed for many years,
But you Moe never took that road a mother fears.
So many of us are angry, disappointed with life,
For God failed us in this fight!
You can’t tell me this was meant to be,
Because sadness and rage is all I see.
One day we’ll all meet up in the mansion in the sky,
Where there is no more pain,
No more tears to cry.
We will miss you everyday until our death,
Until it is our turn to take that last breath.
I myself will not be afraid,
For I know you will be standing in the gateway.
But until that day I ask you to walk with those of us that can’t bare to hear your name,
Some of us who fear we will go insane.
Those of us who teeter between life and death,
Because we had to put our best brother to rest.
Place your hands on the shoulders of those who wish their license to life be revoked,
Those who wake up in the middle of the night soaked.
Soaked from the sweat of pain,
Wishing and praying to stop the rain.
Wipe the tears from our eyes,
And reveal the cowards disguise,
We can only hope that the bastards meet the same demise.
As with everything there is an end,
And so this poem I now must send.
But before I end I must say,
We will love you Moses everyday!
