This unique multimedia presentation utilizes live reptiles and Powerpoint to facilitate learning writing skills. Writing with a voice, using the right words to show instead of tell, and organizing your work are just some of the areas David can cover. For "Writing with Reptiles" he uses excerpts from his books, macro images, and real reptiles to demonstrate application of writing skills. Students contribute their thoughts and this input becomes part of the presentation. “Writing with Reptiles” can easily be tailored to different grade levels and has already been modified to fit curriculum of different school districts.

through the realm of reptiles and writing. Five to six amazing live reptiles from around the world are brought out during this multimedia program. One of these is always a large snake weighing 75 lbs or more. The audience will learn how we are different from reptiles, what we share with them, and why we need them around. David also discusses his work, his travels, the creation of his books, his reasons for writing them, and how books and reading have influenced his life in a positive way. “Reptiles, Up Close and Personal” is tailored to the size and age of the audience. Groups as small as 20 people and as large as 2000 have been present.
