The
instrument cut
out took a lot of time, it wasn't a simple trace job however now that
this
template is done, makeing others should be much easier. I'll probably
make
another with a slightly larger surface area. I might have to paint or
anodize if reflection is a problem. Nice thing is accessories will
move with
the dash. The KLR platform seems limitless.
The topbox is a Pelican knock off I got on Ebay for 50.00. Waterproof
with
air relaese valve plus the green looks good. Permanantly mounted with
3
bolts but could be removed in about 2 minutes - very easy. Also notice
the
LED brake light arrray - 8.00 from JC Whitney - very bright, added a
little
silicone to make it watertight. 12v so easy to wire in to brakelight.
