BY-LAWS

EAGER BEAVERS CAMPERS, CHAPTER # 63 - FCRV

THESE BY-LAWS SUPERSEDE ALL PREVIOUS BY-LAWS FEBRUARY 2005

 

 

ARTICLE 1 MEMBERSHIP

Sec. 1 Family membership shall be limited to 25 member families with the option

to open this limit by the membership

A.

A family is eligible for membership after attending three (3) official club

functions in a twelve (12) month period.

B.

When the requirements are met if the family wishes to join, the president

will pass out ballots to all members present. The ballots will be returned to

the past president, immediately counted, and the results announced within

seventy-two (72) hours. To be accepted, a 2/3rds majority of those voting

must be obtained. Ballots are to be disposed of after notification.

C.

Numbers of members who have quit or been dropped from the club, shall

become immediately available for reassignment. Number one (1) has been

discontinued.

D.

Honorary members shall not be counted within the 25-member limit. An

honorary member or members shall be those who are voted as such by the

membership. Honorary members will not be required to pay dues, host

campouts, or attend meetings. They will not have voting privileges. Once a

member accepts honorary membership their rig numbers become available

for reissue to new members. Honorary members shall add the number; dash

one (-1) to the end of their original rig number.

 

 

BY-LAWS 2

Sec. 2

As a member of the Eager Beavers Campers, in addition to abiding by the

constitution and the balance of the BY-LAWS, adult members are expected

to:

A.

Participate in club projects by contribution of time, material or money.

B.

Have no liquor at meetings or campouts outside of your own campsite.

C.

Maintain quiet at campfire after 11:00 p.m. or time stipulated at

campground.

D.

Be responsible for actions of themselves, their family and their guest.

 

 

ARTICLE II DUES AND ASSESSMENT

Sec. 1

The amount of the annual dues shall be set at the October meeting for the

membership year (1-1 through 12-31). Dues not paid on or before December

31 may result in membership being automatically dropped from the club.

 

 

Sec. 2

A rally fee shall be collected at each campout. The amount shall be

established at the December meeting.

 

 

ARTICLE III OFFICERS

Sec. 1

No person shall hold one office for more than two (2) years in succession

with the exception of Treasurer.

 

Sec. 2

State Delegate to the State Association shall be by willing volunteer.

 

 

BY-LAWS 3

ARTICLE IV GENERAL

Sec. 1

The campsite host’s will be determined at the December meeting for the

coming year to:

A.

Obtain reservations and fill out campground agreement.

B.

See that deposit is paid, either by host or treasurer.

C.

Arrange a place for the potluck, meeting and evening program.

D.

Be responsible for weekend refreshments and for Sunday morning breakfast.

Sec. 2

The customary potluck supper shall be on Saturday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at

the chapter campouts only. No potluck at State functions. Business meeting

to follow dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Sec. 3

All discussion of business shall be limited to 10 minuets per item, at which

time it shall be tabled or voted on.

Sec. 4

All bills to be paid are to be presented to the Treasurer prior to the meeting,

and paid only after club approval.

Sec. 5

All records shall be turned over to the newly elected officers, at the

December meeting. The Treasurer’s books shall be audited before the

December meeting by the Old and New Board members.

 

 

BY-LAWS 4

ARTICLE V TERMINATION OF CHAPTER

Sec. 1

Should the activities of the chapter terminate, any property or chapter funds

shall be disposed of in the following manner:

A.

75% of all funds after debts shall be given to State or National Educational

programs such as conservation, Scholarship and Safety.

B.

25% of all funds after debts shall be given to local charitable groups.

C.

The choice of programs or groups to receive the chapter assets shall be

decided by the members in good standing with the chapter at the time of

termination.
