Áfangi Icelandic Horses

Áfangi Icelandic Horses is a small farm located in Mt. Pleasant, in the center of the lower peninsula of Michigan. From our farm you can ride for miles on dirt roads perfect for tolting, through wood and across fields.

The owners, Marci and Terry Stacy have found the wonderful world of Icelandic Horses and have presently 4 Icelandics that were chosen in Iceland and imported several years ago. They are dedicated to promoting the Icelandic horse and have decided to try to get more good Icelandics in the Midwest.
In the winter of 1999, Marci went to Iceland and bought horses selected especially for the pleasure rider that wants a safe, dependable Icelandic.  They have not been selected for color or amount of hair, but mainly for their disposition, tolting, dependability, and safeness to ride. 7 horses were selected and 4 have been sold so far. If you are interested in buying an Icelandic Horse, please visit our page for sales horses. Other horses will be selected and imported as needed so that there will be trail horses for sale in the future.

Here are a couple of photos of Marci in Iceland:

If you are interested in getting an Icelandic horse and would be interested in visiting me to see them, please feel free to call (517) 773-5807 or send me an e-mail. My goal is to fit the rider to the correct horse and I hope to have you try several horses before deciding which one you like. Then I hope that you will ride that horse several times before buying to make sure that that is the correct horse for you. I want both the horse and rider to be completely happy and be sure that the rider is comfortable riding the horse.
We welcome inquiries about Icelandics or our horses that are for sale and we are always happy to introduce others to the magic of the Icelandic Horse.
