The Vileplume Collection!

Here it is! This is my collection of Vileplume merchandise I've collected over the years. It is by no means complete, but is what I have found so far. Vileplume is not one of the most popular
Pokémon out there, so merchandise featuring it isn't too common. All pictures included are actual pictures of the pieces I own. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner, so the pictures of my cards are not as great as they could be (a shame, because a large chunk of my collection is cards). Regardless, enjoy the tour!

(This site is under construction, so images and more info on the items may not be available.)

American Greetings/Carlton Cards birthday card #5 (2000)

This card features Vileplume performing Petal Dance on the cover, and came with five stickers. I have since used the stickers on the binder which holds all my Vileplume cards. This was given to me by my mom on my birthday. She purchased it from Big Lots.

Sandylion collector stickers (1999)

A set of stickers purchased on eBay. This set features Vileplume, as well as Kakuna, Ninetales, and Gengar. Eight stickers are included, but since I haven't opened it, I don't know if the other four stickers are repeats of the ones shown, or four other
Pokémon.

X-Concepts Mini Skateboard (????)

This was purchased for me by my boyfriend at the time from Toys "R" Us. I really have very little information about this particular item. X-Concepts did release a line of
Pokémon mini skateboards, however I've never seen the Vileplume one pictured among these. If you have any information about this item, please email me through the Contact Me page!

Toy Biz Series 2 marble pouch (????)

I have two of these marble pouches: one in tan and one in blue. These bags were designed to hold the collector marbles. One was purchased for me by my boyfriend at the time. I cannot remember where I got the second one!

Toy Biz Series 2 glass marble (????)

A small recycled glass marble. I do not have the "power marble" version of this item. This was a collector marble from a series; each bag you bought contained ten marbles at random. My efforts to obtain a Vileplume on my own ended poorly, so I buckled and bought this on eBay.

1" figurine (2007)

I have two of these, and don't know anything about them other than the year.

Tomy figurine (????)

This is a figurine with no year on it, made by Tomy.

Panini Staks Bilingual Edition magnet (2002)

I don't know too much about this. I believe that Staks is a series of collectible magnets released in Europe (this one specifically came from France).

Burger King key chains (1999)

I have two of these! These were released with Burger King Kids Meals to promote
Pokémon: The First Movie. I obtained these myself when they were released.

Battling Coin Game copper coin (1998)

This is a cool item. These coins were sold in packs of three, with random
Pokémon in each pack. It's a pretty hefty coin, and it spins. I traded one of my other coins for this one at a League meet up.

Pokémon: Master Trainer coin (1999)

This coin came from the
Pokémon: Master Trainer board game.

Size small t-shirt
(????)

A great item! Unfortunately it's a size small. Still, I can wear it!

Tomy playset (1997)

This neat little playset features Vileplume and Lapras.

Bandai CGTSJ finger puppet (1997)

I'm uncertain about this one. I bought this at MegaCon 2010 from a giant bin filled with
Pokémon finger puppets. The back is labeled with Japanese writing and it is made of vinyl.

Pencil sharpener (2000)

Unfortunately I don't know anything about this item, but it's my favorite item in my whole collection! You can sharpen pencils in Vileplume's flower. You disconnect the flower from the body to empty out the pencil shavings.

Bandai Battle Museum Series 3 figurine (2000)

I bought this online from Hard Rock
Pokémon (free plug!). This was part of a series of figurines dispensed in vending machines in Japan. It has a little stand with its name (in Japanese) attached.

Tomy vinyl figurines (1998)

I have two of these figurines: one is Japanese and one is English. The only way to tell the two apart is by the writing on the figurines themselves. These came with Gloom figurines as well as little cardboard coins (English versions only).

Tomy cardboard coin (1998)

And this is the coin that came with the aforementioned vinyl figurines!

Pencil topper/key chain (????)

This is a cool item, with an interesting story too. I won this in an arcade machine (one where you have to hit the button to stop the light at the prize). There were about three key chains in front of this one that I had to win in order to get to the Vileplume one. I burned through about five dollars in quarters to get it, but it was well worth it! I don't know anything else about the item itself.

16 Stamp Sheet #5 (2001)

This set of stamps comes from East Timor! Oddish, Gloom, and Vileplume are a part of the set, as well as Nidorino, Nidoking, Clefairy, Clefable, Vulpix, Ninetales, Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, Zubat, Golbat, Paras, Parasect, and Venonat.

Topsun Blue Back Promo (1995)

These cards came in packs of chewing gum. There are two varieties: one with a green back and one with a blue back. The blue back cards are the 1st edition, and is the one I have!

Meiji promotional holographic card (1997)

These cards were made by the Meiji chocolate company and came included in boxes of chocolate in Japan. It has a lot of Japanese text on it I wish I could read.

Bandai Carddass card (2004)

I don't know much about where this card comes from, other than that it is obviously Japanese.

Bandai glossy card (1997)

Apparently this card was sold at the
Pokémon Center in Japan. It's a card, but the Pokémon themselves are also stickers.

Bandai glossy sticker card (1997)

The origin of this card is the same as the above. This one is more obviously a set of stickers, and features some other
Grass Pokémon as well. The back has Koffing and Goldeen on it, for some reason.

Lamincards card (2005)

This is a really neat card with a transparent back. The card is in French.

Topps Series 1 cards (1999)

I have two of these cards: both a holographic version and a regular version. The foil card is kind of beat up. I do not have the Chrome version of the Topps card yet.

Burger King card (1999)

When the Burger King toys were released, they also included cards of all 151
Pokémon. This is, of course, one of those cards. I have two versions: one is a straight cut individual card, and one was ripped from a series of cards. You can tell the difference by looking at the edges of the cards.

Bootleg cards (2010)

Yes, I know they're fake! That's part of the appeal. I bought these bootleg cards intentionally. They are imitation cards of the Undaunted Vileplume. Compared to the real cards they are pretty poor quality, but a very unique addition to the collection! I have two holographic bootlegs and four non-holographic bootlegs.

Japanese Southern Islands reverse holofoil cards (1999)

These are from the Tropical Islands Jungle set. They also include postcards which feature Vileplume. I have five of these.

Japanese Southern Islands Tropical Islands sealed set (1999)

This set features the same Vileplume card as above, but it is still sealed in its packaging. The set also contains Lickitung and Primeape, and the same postcard as the above.

English Southern Islands reverse holofoil card (2001)

The English set of Southern Islands cards was released all together. I only have one of the English version.

English Gym Heroes holofoil cards (2000)

I have five of these. One of them is 1st edition.

Japanese Team Rocket holofoil cards
(1997)

I have two of these.

Japanese Jungle holofoil cards (1997)

I have three of these.

English Jungle holofoil cards (1999)

I have ten of these. One of them is 1st edition. Two of them are error prints, missing the Jungle set symbol on the right side of the card. One of the regular holofoils is MIA. It is currently on a secret mission to Japan. More on that later!

English Jungle rare cards (1999)

I have three of these. One of them is 1st edition.

French Jungle rare card
(2000)

I have one of these, and it is 1st edition.

Spanish Jungle rare card (2000)

I have one of these, and it is 1st edition.

English Gym Heroes uncommon card (2000)

I have one of these. It is in the collection because the flower pot is shaped like a Vileplume.

English Neo Genesis rare card (2000)

I have one of these. It is in the collection because there are a few Vileplumes on the arcade machine.
