NORTH IOWA MINIATURE HORSE & DONKEY SALE
The North Iowa Miniature Horse and Donkey Sale will be held at the Floyd County Fairgrounds located at 25167 7 Mile Road (Highway 14) in Charles City, Iowa. This is your invitation to consign horses/donkey to the sale.
Guidelines are as follows:
Only AMHA/AMHR A & B, ASPC/AMHR and ASPC registered horses and miniature donkeys of any registry will be accepted.
Adding a Driving Class. No registration required but they MUST BE PRESENTED
IN THE RING under harness.
No restrictions on females.
3 females for each stallion 2 years and under.
Mature stallions/jacks over 38".. yearlings over 32".
No restrictions on geldings.
Registration papers must be in order, and in your name.
All animals must have current Negative Coggins and health papers. Each animal must have its own health paper. This does not apply to foals selling with their dams.

AVAILABE AGAIN THIS YEAR!!
We are able to offer "ON-SITE" Coggins tests for Iowa Consignors ONLY. If you wish to do on-site testing, we will only be required to do the animals that are sold "out of state". Anything that stays in the state of Iowa, will not need a Coggins test. This can save you, the Consignor, the additional cost of testing animals that are not required by law in Iowa. The cost of this testing is $20/head.

ALL ANIMALS COMING FROM OUT-OF-STATE ARE STILL REQUIRED BY LAW TO HAVE A CURRENT COGGINS TO ENTER THE STATE OF IOWA.

** If consigning a pregnant AMHA papered mare, or one with foal at side, fill in all appropriate information on the Registration Application for the foal. If the mare is AMHR registered (pregnant or with foal at side) include a stallion service certificate and signed transfer for the foal.
For both registries, height and date will be filled in on transfer sheets at the sale.

CONDITIONS OF SALE
Catalog fee: $35.00 per consignment.
10 or more head pay a discount fee of $25 per consignment.

This must accompany your consignments. With a COPY of registration papers.
DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS. Bring these the day of the sale.
A 10% commission on the sale price of each animal will be charged. Minimum $25 commission per animal.
All animals must go through the sale ring or will automatically be charged a no-sale fee of $25.
No-sale flat fee is $25.00. However, if no bid is obtained, this fee will be waved. You must obtain a card from one of the guys in the sale ring to verify that this is the case. Otherwise, you will be charged the $25. This is being done to help speed up the paperwork and end-of-sale settlements. The vet is responsible for the papers of each head. He does not know who has paid or who has not.
Consignor must provide a good halter and lead rope for each animal.
No substitutions without management’s approval prior to sale.
Tack and equipment – 10% commission. Horse related tack and equipment only.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
You are responsible for furnishing your own bedding. Either straw or sawdust is acceptable. If you will need bedding, please let us know. There will be a $7.50 charge per bag.
We will have security in the barn Friday night, but you are responsible for your animals until they are sold.
There will be a veterinarian on call if needed.
A FREE MEAL will be served Friday evening.
