After a shoot out with Los Angeles Police Department (LA PD) a Navy officer is found to have been executed. Sam Hanna and G. Callen investigate and find that the Navy officer was being forced to use his security clearance to send top secret satellite images of an impending anti-drug mission by a drug cartel who had kidnapped his niece.

Thee Navy Seals interrupt a drug deal to steal the money, killing an undercover LA PD officer and the drug dealers. The investigation leads the NCIS Los Angeles team to believe that the undercover cop wasn’t there to take down the drug dealers but instead to take down another undercover cop who was living a double life as a drug dealer.

During a Marine training exercise a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is hacked and one of two “Hellfire” missiles are launched, killing a Marine. The UAV and remaining “Hellfire” missile disappear and the NCIS Los Angeles team has to find it and the remaining missile before they’re used in a terrorist attack on Los Angeles.

After a private security firm agent suffers a mental breakdown in Iraq and kills the Iraqi business man he was supposed to be protecting, he flies to Los Angeles and kills a fellow agent while trying to escape his custody. NCIS Los Angeles investigates and G. Callen goes undercover and finds a SIM card which holds video of the real murderer of the Iraqi business man.

After a defense contractor is killed while jet skiing, NCIS Los Angeles investigate, discovering that he was killed by an ex-North Korean assassin, Lee Won Ki, the personal enemy of Director Vance. Sam Hanna and G. Callen search the contractors home and discover his dead wife. Director Vance gets involved and receives a phone call from Lee Won Ki, who tells him that she did not kill the contractors wife. Dominic Vaile is sent undercover to trick their suspect into confessing but is shot at by the assassin who is chased through the parking garage by G. Callen and Sam Hanna who shoot at her stolen car, causing her significant injuries. The car crashes but is found empty. New evidence is found, identifying the wife's murderer.

A Marine corporal is found dead at the bottom of a party building. LA PD are convinced that it was a suicide but, because the Marines family is connected, NCIS Los Angeles investigate and discover it was a murder, in the process uncovering a major counter-fit currency ring. G. Callen and Kensi Blye go undercover to shut it down.

After a Russian woman is murdered while running surveillance, NCIS Los Angeles investigate and find photos of Callen and a file on an operation he was involved in on a flash drive in her possession. The four agents involved in the operation COSSACK were betrayed by a CIA agent who faked his death and tried to kill the remaining agents, including Callen. The team now has to find the agent and prevent him from finishing the job on the remaining agents.

After Eric finds a key to a warehouse in Keelsons possessions, Callen, Sam Hanna and Kensi Blye investigate the warehouse and discover it full of boxes of personal information on hundreds of people, including Callen, but before Callen can get to his box, an associate of Keelsons sets off an explosive in the warehouse, almost killing the team. While looking through the documents rescued by the team, Eric finds records of a woman who has knowledge of a the associate and of a missing fortune and who may also be Callen's sister.
