EMIR OF KANO PALACE

The Emir's Palace at Kano city was built in the fifteenth century and its grounds occupy the highest space in Kano. The entire palace complex is embraced by a wall of 20 to 30 feet high from the outside the height of which never exceeds more than 15 feet from the inside. The wall is tapered inward and surmounted by rounded crenellations and  modestly decorated.

 

FARIN RUWA WATERFALL

Recently undergoing  renovation, the resort has facilities such as restaurants, wave pools, open air theatre, a lake, mini zoo, recreational areas, a golf course and a helipad, in an attempt to make it a place for total relaxation. It is not just a fall but cascades with three falls. Indeed, a trip to Farin Ruwa promises to be a trip to nature itself. It has a butterfly garden, a lake and animals strolling about.

 

CHAD BASIN WILDLIFE

Located between Borno and Yobe states. The wetland of Bade and Nguru are internationally acclaimed as congregation site for migrant birds coming all the way from Europe. The park is a refurbished tourist attraction and it has played host to Prince Bernhard of Netherlands (1987) and Prince Philip of Britain (1989).It has some rare desert wildlife like giraffe, ostrich, red fronted gazelle, etc.
