A Business Trip to Mumbai – Discovering Great Service and Hospitality at Every Turn
My usual days are filled with planning, assigning tasks to my team, appraising and selecting material submitted by illustrators and photographers, framing new or revising existing policies to develop new businesses, and many more. In addition, I have to travel around for business meetings to various places across the country. As it always happens, this time I had to go to Mumbai to meet an important client and my trip turned out to be an interesting one that I would like to account.

Mumbai, I should admit, is my soul savior for it is a place I can escape to when I want to get away. Frankly, it lets me to be myself in this big city for I can go missing in the busy streets or in my favorite hotel, spending the treasured break rejuvenating my body and mind. It did not take much time for me to book the flight with SpiceJet, which offers 3 daily Kochi to Mumbai flights, of which 2 are nonstop.
Though there are enough flights operated by other airlines, I prefer flying in the Business Class on a SpiceJet flight for I need not shell out more money for extra comfort and convenience the SpiceMax seat offers. The extra 6 inches legroom and personal space to work, with the priority check-in, are more than enough for me looking for good value for money.
I boarded a SpiceJet 164 flight scheduled at 11.55 am from Cochin International Airport to reach Mumbai after a comfortable 2-hour journey.
A Delightful and Relaxing Stay at Hotel Grand Skylight, Mumbai
Stepping out of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, I walked to the prepaid taxi counter watching people basking in the afternoon sun. It took me just a few minutes to travel 7 kilometers to the Hotel Grand Skylight, which is situated in Sakinaka, opposite to the Society Masjid. I have been here before and I love this place for the proximity it offers to some of the attractions like the Powai Lake, Film City, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Bandra Kurla Complex, and Prince of Wales Museum.

The rooms, categorized into Single, Double and Deluxe, are quite affordable that I checked into a Deluxe Room. Generous in size, I liked the pleasing interiors and the soothing colors of the wall pastels. The large windows are draped with attractive linen curtains and they open out to the beautiful views of the city.
The double bed with comfy mattress offers more privacy. The room has adequate furniture making it convenient to work. As for entertainment, I enjoyed the excellent collection of programs, which included movies, music, dramas, and so on. The staff members were quite friendly and prompt to help guests any time.

I had a relaxed and economical stay at the Hotel Grand Skylight. Though situated in the central place of the city, the hotel exuded peace and warmth that I enjoyed during the stay.
