Honduras Relief Effort has made the Brigada de Salud possible: a multidisciplinary
team of healthcare providers and students who volunteer to provide services
to underserved rural Honduras communities. The Brigada de Salud provides
yearly short term healthcare services that include screening and treatment
clinics, educational programming, and supplies by partnering with community
agencies.
Each year team members and the Brigada de Salud directors, under the
guidance of Dr. Nancy Crigger from William Jewel College in Liberty,
Missouri, and Dr. Lygia Holcomb
of the University of Alabama work with agencies in the US to
obtain donations of goods and supplies. If you are able to donate medicine,
or would like to volunteer for one of these medical missions, please
contact us.
The Honduras Relief Efforts, Inc. has partnered with Brigada
de Salud to
coordinate the healthcare services and to provide translators for the
Brigada
de Salud. The short term healthcare services provided by the Brigada de
Salud
is possible only through partnering with the Honduras Relief Efforts,
Inc. If
you want to know more about it, please contact Dr. Nancy Crigger at
