How To Make A Website With MSWord

Unless you’re stupid you should be able to make a website. I’ll make this step by step and I’m not going to tell you how to use MSWord, so take CIS if you haven’t already. I’m using MSWord 2007.

1.       Open MSWord

2.       Click New

3.       Go into Web view

4.       Make a Full Page Table about 4rows x 3columns

5.       Decorate it

6.       Save the Page as Web Page, name it index.html, not index.htm,

7.       Make other pages just like the first save in the same folder as index, save as html

8.       Now when all your files are in a common directory you should be able to hyperlink them together

9.       You can add a hyperlink for e-mail too.

10.   Find a web host, I’m using angelfire. Google “Free Web Host” or “Angelfire”. I’m only going to tell you how to use Angelfire.

11.   Sign Up w/ Username and Password

12.   In Windows Vista, or maybe XP, go to My Computer. Type ftp.angelfire.com in the address bar. Give your username and password when it asks.

13.   Copy all files into the FTP folder, index.html should be in the folder, overwrite it.

14.   If you hyperlinked correctly, everything should work.
