Camp Shadyrest is a Christian day camp here in the countryside of Chesterfield, New Jersey and Manny Mansion is our mascot as he delightfully symbolizes the strength and enjoyment of what this camp has in its legacy! While beginning as an overnight camp, it now functions 8 weeks during the summer from late June to mid - August as a day camp for children ages 5 to 14. Located on 9.9 acres of country property, this kidz camp, 8:30-4:30,  provides a fun atmosphere, a safe environment, and trained lifeguards for its 24x54 in-ground swimming pool.

  Our staff is screened and background checked for the safety of your children as well as being trained by the Red Cross in First Aid and Water safety, all staff  also certified in CPR. Esther Sullivan, the camp director, grew up attending and working at the camp and is doing a superior job, with her own children now being involved in the camp.  Numerous activities abound such as archery (with trained NAA archery instructors), swimming each day weather permitting, nature walks, basketball, various field games, fun on the playground and fishing at a nearby pond stocked with panfish and largemouth bass. Powerhour is a 1 hour time slot from 11 - 12 filled with Christian songs and Bible teaching about Jesus and the exciting stories found in the Bible. Your child(ren) will have an experience unlike anything else they have ever encountered.
