THE NEPHILIM
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and all life that exists on this planet [see the first chapter of Genesis]. During His creative work, God established an eternal law that everything should reproduce according to its kind [read Genesis 1:11, 12, 21, 24, 25]. Man was made in the very image of God (Gen. 1:26-27). Scripture also records Adam and Eve’s fall into sin (Genesis Chapters 2-3). Subsequently, the pre-Flood world saw complete degeneration of morals and constant rebellion against the Creator.
But the Bible goes on to tell us that fallen angels also broke the law of God by mixing with human women and producing a hybrid race known as the Nephilim: “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” (Genesis 6:1-4).
Who were the mysterious "Nephilim" on the earth and what was their relationship to the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men"? I believe the following Biblical points will clearly answer these important questions to any honest heart:
1. The Bible's definition of the "sons of God" is given in such Scriptures as Job 2:1 and Job 38:7 where the "sons of God" clearly are God's angels.
2. Angels can assume human form (Gen. 19, etc.) and when they do they appear as males.
3. 2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 6 say that some of the evil angels before the Flood left their proper abode (i.e. Heaven) and came to Earth and had children by human women. For this reason, these particular angels have now been bound in Hell.
4. The resulting children became the Nephilim –a cross between the angel world and the human species. They were the mighty tyrants of "the world that then was."
5. Many of the early Christian leaders taught that the "sons of God" in Genesis 6:2 were fallen angels who had sexual intercourse with earthly women. Therefore, this ancient understanding should be viewed as the legitimate one.
6. The mixing between angels and women was so pronounced that by the time of the Flood only Noah (Genesis 6:9) was found to be, in the words of the King James Version, "perfect in his generations" (i.e. physical purity in blood line with no mixing of angelic/human ancestors).
Now let us look more deeply into what the Bible has to say about giants.
GIANTS BEFORE AND AFTER THE FLOOD OF NOAH
I. GIANTS IN THE BIBLE
The Bible describes many individuals as giants, and it also mentions several giant people groups. Interpreters have speculated about the size of these people with guesses ranging anywhere from 6 feet to more than 30 feet in height. There are 35 Tribes of Giants
mentioned in the Bible: the Amalekites, Amorites, Anakims, Ashdothites, Aviums, Avites, Canaanites, Caphtorims, Ekronites, Emins, Emins, Eshkalonites, Gazathites, Geshurites, Gibeonites, Giblites, Girgashites, Gittites, Hittites, Hivites, Horims, Horites,
Jebusites, Kadmonites, Kenites, Kenizzites, Maachathites, Manassites, Perizzites, Philistines, Rephaims, Sidonians, Zamzummins, Zebusites, and the Zuzims.
There are also 21 individual Giants mentioned, by name, in the Bible: Adonizedec - King of Jerusalem, Agag - King of the Amalakites, Ahiman, Amalek, Arba, Beelesath Gog and Magog, Gogmagog, Goliath, Hoham - King of Hebron, Horam - King of Gezer, Jabin - King of Hazor, Jobab - King of Madon, Lahmi, Nimrod,
Og of Bashan, Ogias - Og's father, Perizzites, Sheshai, Sihon - King of the Amorites, Sippai, and Talmai.
“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations (MEANING HIS DNA WAS the ONLY NON-TAMPERED-WITH-GENES by FALLEN ANGELS on the PLANET), and Noah walked with God” (Genesis 6:1-9).
“And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight” (Numbers 13:32-33).
“The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims. The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them” (Deuteronomy 2:10-12).
“And when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon any possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession. (That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims; A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead” (Deuteronomy 2:19-21).
“All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan. For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man. And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites. And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants. Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day” (Deuteronomy 3:10-14).
“And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah: And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei, And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon” (Joshua 12:3-5).
“And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah; All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out. Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day” (Joshua 13:11-13).
“And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel: And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward: And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim” (Joshua 15:7-9).
“And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto? And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee. And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel” (Joshua 17:14-16).
“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him” (1 Samuel 17:4-7).
“And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David. But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel” (2 Samuel 21:16-17).
“And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant” (2 Samuel 21:19-20).
“And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear” (1 Chronicles 11:23).
“And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam. And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant. But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's brother slew him” (1 Chronicles 20:5-7).
“Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath” (Amos 2:9).
It is crystal clear to any honest heart that the Bible definitely teaches that literal giants have walked upon this world in the past. Genesis 6:1-4 also clearly teaches us that these giants were the offspring of sexual encounters between fallen angels and human women.
II. GIANTS IN OTHER BOOKS
The books of Jasher, Jubilees, Enoch, and others contain the complete story of what happened in the antediluvian (pre-flood) world. The Nephilim angels set themselves up as pagan "gods" to be worshipped, and their hybrid, genetically monstrous sons as "demigod" kings over the rest of humanity. These offspring were also called Nephilim, and they were brutal, cruel, occultic and cannibalistic giants who treated ordinary human beings with contempt. There were 200 original "Watchers" above the Earth, who rebelled and became the fallen angels. Their leader was named Semyaza. Through corrupt angelic knowledge, the pre-flood world was corrupted.
1. JOSEPHUS
Josephus Ant.1.3:1 For many angels of God accompanied with women, and begat sons that proved unjust, and despisers of all that was good, on account of the confidence they had in their own strength; for the tradition is, that these men did what resembled the acts of those whom the Grecians call giants.
Josephus Ant.5.2:3 For which reason they removed their camp to Hebron; and when they had taken it, they slew all the inhabitants. There were till then left the race of giants, who had bodies so large, and countenances so entirely different from other men, that they were surprising to the sight, and terrible to the hearing. The bones of these men are still shown to this very day, unlike to any credible relations of other men.
2. ENOCH
“And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days
were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: ‘Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children’” (Enoch 6:1-3).
“And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones” (Enoch 7:1-6).
“But you were formerly spiritual, living the eternal life, and immortal for all generations of the world. And therefore I have not appointed wives for you; for as for the spiritual ones of the heaven, in heaven is their dwelling. And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy Watchers is their beginning and primal origin; they shall be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits shall they be called. [As for the spirits of heaven, in heaven shall be their dwelling, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling.] And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble: they take no food, but nevertheless hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them” (Enoch 15:6-12). [NOTE: This not only adds proof that the offspring of Fallen Angels and earthly women produced a race of giants upon this world, but it also gives us the origin of demons.]
3. JUBILEES
“And it came to pass when the children of men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them, that the angels of God saw them on a certain year of this jubilee, that they were beautiful to look upon; and they took themselves wives of all whom they chose, and they bare unto them sons and they were giants. And lawlessness increased on the earth and all flesh corrupted its way, alike men and cattle and beasts and birds and everything that walks on the earth - all of them corrupted their ways and their orders, and they began to devour each other, and lawlessness increased on the earth and every imagination of the thoughts of all men (was) thus evil continually. And God looked upon the earth, and behold it was corrupt, and all flesh had corrupted its orders, and all that were upon the earth had wrought all manner of evil before His eyes. And He said that He would destroy man and all flesh upon the face of the earth which He had created. But Noah found grace before the eyes of the Lord” (Jubilees 5:1-5).
“Noah began to enjoin upon his sons' sons the ordinances and commandments, and all the judgments that he knew, and he exhorted his sons to observe righteousness, and to cover the shame of their flesh, and to bless their Creator, and honour father and mother, and love their neighbour, and guard their souls from fornication and uncleanness and all iniquity. For owing to these three things came the flood upon the earth, namely, owing to the fornication wherein the Watchers against the law of their ordinances went a whoring after the daughters of men, and took themselves wives of all which they chose: and they made the beginning of uncleanness. And they begat sons the Naphidim, and they were all unlike, and they devoured one another: and the Giants slew the Naphil, and the Naphil slew the Eljo, and the Eljo mankind, and one man another. And every one sold himself to work iniquity and to shed much blood, and the earth was filled with iniquity. And after this they sinned against the beasts and birds, and all that moves and walks on the earth: and much blood was shed on the earth, and every imagination and desire of men imagined vanity and evil continually. And the Lord destroyed everything from off the face of the earth; because of the wickedness of their deeds, and because of the blood which they had shed in the midst of the earth” (Jubilees 7:20-25).
III. THE MYSTERIOUS SERPENT MOUND OF OHIO
Nearly every place around the world has legends of giants dwelling in the land. One such place here in America is the Serpent Mound. The Great Serpent Mound is a 1,348-foot (411 m)-long, three-foot-high prehistoric effigy mound located on a plateau of the Serpent Mound crater along Ohio Brush Creek in Adams County, Ohio. Maintained within a park by the Ohio Historical Society, it has been designated a National Historic Landmark by the United States Department of Interior. The Serpent Mound of Ohio was first reported from surveys by Ephraim Squire and Edwin Davis in their historic volume Ancient Monuments of the Mississippi Valley, published in 1848 by the newly founded Smithsonian Museum.

Ancient American Giants
The Rev. Stephen Bowers notes, in the Kansas City “Review of Science,” the opening of an interesting mount in Brush Creek Township, Ohio. The mount was opened by the Historical Society of the township, under the immediate supervision of Dr. J.F. Everhart, of Zanesville. It measured sixty-four by thirty-five feet at the summit, gradually sloping in every direction, and was eight feet in height. There was found in it a sort of clay coffin including the skeleton of a woman measuring eight feet in length. Within this coffin was found also the skeleton of a child about three and a half feet in length, and an image that crumbled when exposed to the atmosphere. In another grave was found the skeleton of a man and woman, the former measuring nine and the latter eight feet. In a third grave occurred two skeletons, male and female, measuring respectively nine feet four inches and eight feet. Seven other skeletons were found in the mound, the smallest of which measured eight feet, while others reached the enormous length of ten feet. They were buried singly or each in separate graves. Resting against one of the coffins was an engraved stone tablet (now in Cincinnati), from the characters on which Dr. Everhart and Mr. Bowers are led to conclude that this giant race were sun-worshippers.
We could give many other such newspaper articles that prove this enormous serpent mound in Ohio, and in other parts of America, have been filled with the ancient remains of giants.
IV. INDIAN LEGENDS
Many Native American tribes from the Northeast and Southwest still relate the legends of the red-haired giants and how their ancestors fought terrible, protracted wars against the giants when they first encountered them in North America almost 15,000 years ago. The Cherokee called them the Moon People. The Utes and Paiutes spoke of a hideous race of cannibals ten feet tall living in caves. And the Choctaw also have an account of the race of giants that first colonized the Ohio Valley. The Aztecs and Mayans also recorded their encounters with a race of giants to the north when they ventured out on exploratory expeditions.
A story was told by the Comanche in 1857:
Innumerable moons ago, a race of white men, ten feet high, and far more rich and powerful than any white people now living, here inhabited a large range of country, extending from the rising to the setting sun. Their fortifications crowned the summits of the mountains, protecting their populous cities situated in the intervening valleys. They excelled every other nation which was flourished, either before or since, in all manner of cunning handicraft—were brave and warlike—ruling over the land they had wrested from its ancient possessors with a high and haughty hand. Compared with them the palefaces of the present day were pygmies, in both art and arms. They drove the Indians from their homes, putting them to the sword, and occupying the valleys in which their fathers had dwelt before them since the world began. At length, in the height of their power and glory, when they remembered justice and mercy no more and became proud and lifted up, the Great Spirit descended from above, sweeping them with fire and deluge from the face of the earth. The mounds we [i.e. the speaker Chief Rolling Thunder and his Spanish listener] had seen on the tablelands were the remnants of their fortresses, and the crumbling ruins that surrounded us all that remained of a mighty city.
V. GENERAL CHARATERISTICS OF GIANTS
As we read the Bible and other reliable sources concerning the giants that have walked this earth, we find many general characteristics that they shared. Besides being very tall, very brutal, and they all had supernatural strength and a great appetite that was very hard to satisfy. Many were cannibalistic. It also seems that many of them had six fingers on each hand and six toes on both feet. They were very loud creatures whose voices would hurt human ears. And many of the giants had elongated skulls.
Many of the giants also had a double row of teeth like a python snake. This should come as no surprise as the giants were a part of the serpent seed (Genesis 3:14-15). There is a python spirit at work in the world today. Like the earthly python snake, the spirit of python is a deadly and sneaky spirit. It will slither through our churches and hang in our rafters, until one of us lets our guard down and walks into his trap. The spirit of python is one of the king demon spirits. It will wrap itself around you and slowly squeeze the life out of your body. You see that is what the python spirit does – it takes your life/breath. Every time you try to do anything for God it will tighten its hold until you’re out of the present will of God for your life. The python spirit comes directly from the deceased giants. Being part angel and part human they could not go to Heaven or Hell at their death. Their spirits became demons that still want to possess living bodies today.
This would further connect the giants to the serpent seed, among whom are the Reptilians. Reptilians are described as 6 to 8 feet tall, and are often linked myths about ancient astronauts who allegedly came to Earth to seed the planet and promised to return one day.
Several ancient peoples all over the world have described reptilian beings, and some have described reptilian humanoids. Common in numerous mythologies are tales of reptilian creatures (usually not humanoid) who are often hostile to human beings. Also rather common are the myths of "Serpents of Wisdom" who enlightened humanity before the dawn of civilization. This connects the dots between Satan, the Nephilim, and the supposed “aliens” and “UFO” reports of our day.
Note; It is very possible that the Nephilim are the alien hybrids, greys, and UFOs of modern times. That would explain why we have had a preponderance of UFO sightings after Israel became a nation on April 14, 1948; which is almost exactly one year before the Roswell incident. Could this be a fulfillment of Bible Prophecy?
Jesus prophesied, “But as the days of Noah were, so also shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of man” (Matthew 24:37). By this statement in Matthew, Jesus meant that just as the fallen angels came and took the daughters of men for wives in the days of Noah and produced the Gibborim [Giants], that this tweaking of human DNA would happen again in the last days. Jesus also prophesied, “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars, and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things (UFOs?) which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man (Jesus) coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up, because your deliverance draws near” (Luke 21:25-28). Yes, Jesus clearly prophesied that the Nephilim would return to earth in the last days!
