I began braiding hair when I was 11 years old. I practiced on my dolls, as well as my younger sister's hair.
I learned how to do french braiding first. When I turned 13 I tried adding extensions to one of my friend’s hair. The
braids looked nice but unfortunately they came out the very next day.
After a lot of practice I finally got my extensions to stay in. Many people started
to notice that my work was getting much better. They wanted to get their hair braided and they referred me to their family and friends. I had clients coming from all over.
By the age of 16 I was an excellent braider with a clientele of about 25-30 people. Back then my prices were reasonable and braids were not as popular as they are now.
Now I am 22 years old and I have braided over 200 heads. My name is known all over the bay area, for specializing in various styles of braiding. Zigzag braids, micros, cross-over
braiding, etc. I have braided infants all the way
up to the elderly's hair. I provide a relaxed and comfortable setting.
