French by birth Daničle made her stage debut at the early age of five. She later joined the Conservatoire D'art Dramatique where she played the great French classics, Greek tragedies and comedies. Her interest in languages guided her to North America where she became actively involved with the artistic community. She appeared in Canada and in the United States in a variety of shows including Fiddler on the Roof, Man of La Mancha, The Boyfriend, Hello Dolly, Tartuffe, Come blow your horn, The last of the red hot lovers, Rebecca, The maids, The Rovers, You can't take it with you and various Piaf and Brel revues.


In 1977 Daničle won the Canadian best actor award for her role of Germaine in Les Belles Soeurs - a play by  Michel Tremblay.

Known as "Piaf" to the South African audiences since 1986, since the hit show The Power of Piaf,  Daničle embarked on a series of French cabarets and established herself as the Diva of the Chanson.

In 1994, Daničle compiled a show titled Soul for Sale, inspired by the music of  Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht. This World War 2 tribute featured songs made famous by Marlene Dietrich and Edith Piaf. The show toured Europe successfully. 


In 1995, Daničle performed in the musical drama Sawdust and Stars. The script was inspired by her circus origins - her grandfather was one of the Flying Dupinay Brothers, a world famous flying trapeze act during the vaudeville era.


In 1996 Daničle wrote the cabaret Dance me to the end of Love -based on the songs of Leonard Cohen. This award-winning actress worked with Leonard Cohen in the 60's during her stay in Canada. The show played to sold out seasons and critical acclaim for 2 years. Today, it has become the most sought after production.


In 1997, this versatile entertainer performed the rock musical FALLEN ANGEL to critical acclaim. FALLEN ANGEL was a tribute to actress/singer Marianne Faithfull, who is also known as the Gauloise Diva.

                                           

In 1998 Daničle starred in the one woman musical drama EDITH -the songs and life of Edith Piaf. Fallen Angel and Edith was written and directed by Pluto Panoussis. Both shows played to sold out seasons at all the major theatres in South Africa. Both shows attracted a lot of interest from European promoters and film makers.


In 1999 Daničle wrote Pascal Sings Brel, a revue based on the music of Jacques Brel. This show have been playing to capacity houses ever since.


During 2000, Daničle compiled a show Vagabond, to celebrate the wild women of song. This sparkling new production featured songs of Marianne Faithfull, Juliette Greco, Freda Boccara, Shirley Horn, Marlene Dietrich, Peggy Lee, Eartha Kitt, Dalida, Amanda Lear and Edith Piaf. The songs in Vagabond explored the themes of love, faith, loss and dance of life, with a sense of joyousness and melancholy that was intensely personal.



This year  Daničle  returns with a new show on the songs and life of Edith  Piaf titled  Hymne ŕ L'amour, coupled with the new cd. Some other  exciting cabarets are being planned.
