Cruise Pictures

Ok, here's a picture from a 7 day cruise some friends from church and I took to Bermuda in the summer of 2000. I don't know WHAT the heck I was trying to look at! Maybe I was so impressed with the Captain. Anyway, this was taken before the dinner on the formal "Dinner with the Captain" night. It was cool but I got ripped off !!! The Captain didn't actually sit with us! They should've called it the "Get all dressed up so you can get your picture taken with the Captain and then you have to pay to get the picture and then don't see the Captain for the rest of the night" dinner. The cruise was fun. There wasn't quite enough for me to do,though. I think it was more geared toward people who like to just relax on their vacation and not do much of anything but rest. I like to do all kinds of stuff and have adventures. We DID do some cool snorkling, though ! We didn't have great weather though, due to a hurricane off the shore. Not dangerous, just rainy in the morning and night time. One day it rained REALLY HARD all day long, though. The snorkeling could have been a little better if the water was calmer. Again, due to the hurricane, the rough water impaired visibility due to little air bubbles and kicking up sand. They had TONS of food on the boat. Overall, it was pretty cool. I would do another cruise. I would pick a different boat with different ports of call though, to have different adventures!

More From The Cruise

Ok, here is my cabin-mate Skip and I in our cabin holding Mini Dave. (Nice sunburns, EH!?!?!) Ok, here's the story of Mini Dave. I was played Barabbas in the Easter Play and my church called "Who Do You Say I Am". Well, after the play was over, they had a cast party and they gave out little tokens of appreciation type things. The tokens were dolls made up to look like the main characters of the play. So I got a G.I. Joe doll made up to look like Barabbas the Zealot, complete with brown robe, sash and sword just like I had in the play. So, when I went up to receive it, I said, "Thanks, I'll call him Mini Dave". (That will sound hilarious if you've seen the movie Austin Powers 2, which I will NOT recommend. On the record, anyway.) So after that, Mini Dave has kind of become an icon around the church. People have taken him for a visit. Bought him new clothes. We took him on the cruise. He's been to Oregon. He rides around in my Jeep with me. He has been kidnapped. Then we found out who the kidnappers were and kidnapped him from the kidnappers. So Mini Dave has made his own place amongst my church family. Although, I believe his creators would've never done so, had they known he was going to be forever around to haunt them!!!

Aye aye, ya fruitty cruise pirate !!!

Ok, here's a picture of us at dinner time on the cruise. They had this dude dressed up in a pirate suit running around and jumping up behind people and then this photographer would snap a photo (which one could aquire for a nominal fee,of course). It looked like he was scaring the pants of a few people in the dining room. I'm glad no one had a heart attack! I thought he was a little goofy, but the picture came out kind of funny, so I popped it on here.
