a quite damaging affect on their hair.

examples of the aggressive chemicals that
can end up causing lasting damage to hair are ammonia
bleaches and caustic hair dyes; both will likely make the
hair feel rough and look dull over time. A more healthy
alternative when altering hair color is trying a vegetable
hair tint, such as walnut shell or henna. Since they're
mixed with boiling water, not chemicals, they do not change
the structure of the hair.
Natural tints also add oils that nourish hair. Another
healthy alternative is to use the semi permanent hair dyes
that combine natural and non abrasive chemicals to provide
the benefits of a more natural and longer lasting hair
colorante.
We have had may emails asking why all our products are
ammonia free. We have collated a variety of reasons as to
why we do not promote products with ammonia added. Here are
some disadvantages of ammonia:
Why we do not
promote products containing ammonia
1. Ammonia is bad for the skin. It leads to skin
pigmentation or bleaching
2. It causes cancer. It increase the reaction of H2O2
3. It makes the skin yellow. It makes skin dry and rough
4. It distrubs the PH factor or acid mantle of the skin
5. It dries up the skin. It causes hair falling
6. It causes sores on the scalp.
Color, as we perceive it, is actually the reflection of
light off of the colored pigments in the hairshaft. This
"reflection of light" is what we see as
"color".

Why we prefer
Henna
Henna coats
each hair strand with a coloring and strengthening layer
that actually adds volume and shine. They combine with
your native hair color to produce natural looking, radiant
results.
In formulating
these colors, they use natural, plant colorants. They are
completely free of harmful colorants, and preservatives, and
any other chemical substances. Independent labs test
each batch for residues of agricultural chemicals and for
heavy metal concentrations. As criteria for this
testing, they use the most stringent standards employed in
Europe for human food.
They color in
a gentle, yet long-lasting way. Unlike chemical
methods, they do not penetrate the hair shaft, but coat the
outside of each hair shaft with a protective, volumizing
layer. The color layer reflects light, making your
hair shinier, and also smoothes over the roughened exterior
of the hair shaft, making your hair more manageable.
The results are expressive colors, glossy good looks, and
increased volume. Your natural hair pigments are not
attacked. On the contrary, the combination of your
natural hair color with our products will produce a
shimmering color result uniquely yours.
