First game of the season. As usual 1400 players turn up and the new kit looks wasted on the Oscott ragamuffins. New manager Dave 'Winka' Watson controversially decides to drop himself and go for a 4-4-2 formation with a 'pass to feet' but 'shoot on target' strategy which only some players are capable of!
With temperatures reaching 28 degrees the players were visibly suffering. One overweight defender was particularly affected but after an hour John was substituted.
Oscott pulled out a well earned point and the season was off.
