    EVENTS COMING UP:

    JANUARY
    IDITAROD CAMPOUT to Garland Scout Ranch January 25-27, 2013. Troop is building 2 sleds for the campout events. Plan on cold weather for this one (good coat, warm clothes - that can be layered, gloves, rubber boots, warm sleeping bag, etc.) JAN 17 -- OA EXEC COMMITTEE MEETING Garland Scout Ranch JAN 25-27 -- Norwela Council Iditarod Campout to Garland Scout Ranch JAN 21 -- Martin Luther King Day (Schools out), but will have Scout Meeting!

    FEBRUARY
    TROOP CAMPOUT to Survivor Island on Toledo Bend Reservoir February 22-24, 2013. This is an annual campout to a 200 acre island on Toledo Bend Reservoir. Scouting skills activities, high adventure activities, annual squirrel hunt and cooking. This is a good one!!! FEB 22-24 -- Campout to Survivor Island on Toledo Bend Reservoir FEB 18-25 -- DeSoto Parish Schools out for Winter Break FEB 21 -- OA Exec Committee Meeting at Garland Scout Ranch

    MARCH
    TROOP CAMPOUT to Boles Field in Texas March 22-24, 2013 where we will be playing the "Survivor" Game. A great camping spot with big hills and valleys, covered pavillion with a fire place. This is an old Fox Hunting Camp with the only National Fox Hunting Dog Cemetery in the United States. You don't want to miss this one!!! MAR 22-- Boles Field Campout to Texas (Survivor Game will be played)

    APRIL
    April Campout has not been set yet, so stay tuned for updates.... Might be a District Camporee on Survivor Island.... District Campout (location to be announced)

    MAY
    TO BE ANNOUNCED.... No campout announced for this month yet...

    JUNE
    THIS IS HIGH ADVENTURE MONTH!! Survivor Youth Camp on Survivor Island is June 6-8 (A GREAT CAMP!!!) SUMMER CAMP -- Dates to be announced... Annual Buffalo River Canoe Trip Other called summer activities to be announced....

    JULY
    SUMMER ACTIVITIES MONTH AND FAMILY VACATIONS MONTH. Some Boy Scout activities may be planned for this month. FAMILY TIME / VACATION TIME MAY PLAN SOME SUMMER ACTIVITIES OR OUTINGS AS A TROOP. STAY TUNED'
  • AUGUST 2013 ACTIVITIES
    SCHOOL OPENS AND PLANNING FOR NEXT YEAR IN SCOUTING BEGINS
  • SEPTEMBER 2013 ACTIVITIES
    September 10th Eagle Court of Honor at Jackson Baptist Church, Joaquin, TX 7:00-9:00 p.m.
    September 21-22 Troop Campout to Camp on Toledo Bend Reservoir
    September 26 Eagle Board of Review for Taylor and Tyler
  • OCTOBER 2013 ACTIVITIES
    October 25-26 Lock-in on the Lake overnighter on Survivor Island for Survivor Camp.
  • NOVEMBER 2013 ACTIVITIES
    November 23-26 Camp Turkey at Garland Scout Ranch
