About Me: Wesley Harris
My interest in Bonnie and Clyde goes back to 1968 when the Warren Beatty-Faye Dunaway
movie caused a furor in my hometown of Ruston. Many people were incensed that the killers
were made out to be folk heroes. Although I was only ten in 1968, I followed this controversy
closely. I still have the series of articles run by the local newspaper that pointed out
the differences between the movie and the truth.
In 1998, I started my own law enforcement training and consulting business in Longview,
Texas. I also serve with the White Oak, TX Police Department.
