The West Wing Resource (created November 7, 2000) is an unofficial tribute to the show. The site has no connection with NBC or Warner Brothers, and no infringments of the copyrights of the respected owners of "The West Wing" are intended.

"The West Wing" began on September 22, 1999, and ended on May 14, 2006. The show lasted for seven seasons and aired over 150 episodes.

We discover in the final season that Democratic Congressman Matthew Santos (Jimmy Smits) of Texas defeated Republican Senator Arnold Vinick (Alan Alda) of California in the 2006 General Election and was sworn in on January 20, 2007. Leo McGarry (played by the late John Spencer) was Santos' Vice-Presidential Candidate who died suddenly of a second heart attack on election night (the actor died on December 16, 2005 of a heart attack).

"The West Wing" was produced by John Wells Productions and associated with Warner Brothers Television. John Wells was the series' only executive producer that was active when the show began in 1999. Creator and executive producer Aaron Sorkin and executive producer Thomas Schlamme left the series in 2003 after the conclusion of the fourth season.

NOTE: This site hasn't been updated since October 29, 2004; before (real) U.S. President George W. Bush was re-elected as President. That's a long time between then and now. I've been busy with college during a couple of those years and obtaining a job in 2005; it is now 2007. In case if some are having trouble catching my drift; I haven't updated this site very much, and probably won't for a very long time - if ever. One thing I did do is update the episode listing below and although they have do not have links on them yet, in the future they may if I find time to work on the site to complete it. (Which is not at the top of my priority list, since my priorities have changed since the last time I touched this site).

P.S.: To those who have visited the site throughout the years, if you want to get the most up-to-date information on sales of "West Wing" products or information related to the series that is accurate, I direct you to my former competitor, the "Continuity Guide to 'The West Wing'". The site appears to still be updated regularly with new product information. Or you guys can just use the Yahoo! search engine. A personal thank you to all who have visited in the past 6 years and who have reported mistakes on the site and those who have emailed me with information or questions regarding the series. Thank you for making this a better information tool for learning about "The West Wing", and thank you for participating when you did. I'm not going to update this site anymore, in fact, I doubt that I will create another website on anything. Not even my favorite band The Beatles. Thanks again for making the website worth creating in the first place. --- J. W. Blevins (Webmaster)

There will be no more episodes of the series. The series ended in May of 2006.
