When You last visited us
The world was such a mess
Only a hand full believed in you
But they were true and just
If you were called today
to do it all over again
Would we be worth it
Are we not worse now than then
You came and taught
Love, hope and joy to the world
We have put that aside
And now live in fear, hate and anger
Those you have called to teach us
Are now so often lead astray
Your churches are now locked
and keep out the lost and lonely
I sometimes look towards
The heavens and wonder
Do you sit and gaze down upon us
And cry a crystal tear
