The Kentucky
Council on Crime and Delinquency (KCCD) is a statewide organization
representing professionals in adult corrections, juvenile justice, law
enforcement, and all related areas of the criminal justice system. KCCD has
a proud history spanning over thirty years of service to the aforementioned
disciplines. It holds as its basic premise, the improvement of criminal
justice services to the citizens of the commonwealth. KCCD is committed to
improving the lot of the justice professional through its lobbying effort.
With local chapters all over the state, it is in a unique position to
promote both regional and statewide interests. The organization aside from
local meetings, holds an annual conference bringing together the membership
while presenting the most recent criminal justice issues relevant to
Kentucky. Members are also provided with input in national issues through
its status as an affiliate member of the American Correctional Association.
The mission of the Green
River Chapter of the Kentucky Council on Crime & Delinquency is to promote
the acquisition of knowledge and insight into the ever-changing and diverse
field of the Criminal Justice System. We shall strive to increase the public
awareness in this area and encourage the exchange of ideas among those
concerned to better our existing system. Furthermore, we shall function as a
nonprofit organization that may allocate monies or resources as deemed
appropriate consistent with our mission. Our goals shall be pursued through
various means as approved by members, within the guidelines of the Chapter
By-Laws.
