Sights from My Eleventh
Day
I awoke in Nagarkot to the
sun just starting to light the sky from behind the Himalayas. It
never was clear enough to see more than shadowy mountains, but it was
wonderful to actually see them! Clear air, quiet, no smog. I needed
this escape from the city with it's dust, smoke, garbage, honking
horns, and barking dogs. We hiked down the mountain, through several
tiny villages, to Sankhu. There are more pictures from Sankhu that I
ended up putting on the next day's page.
