His resume includes performances with The Temptations, Lexington Philharmonic, The Four Tops, The Bourbonaires, Andy Williams, Vincent DiMartino, Bob Hope, The Sensations, Tennessee Ernie Ford, UK Jazz Ensemble, Percy Sledge, Kathie Lee Gifford, The Drifters, The Men Of Note, Courtney Allen, Carol Channing, Dixieland South, Swingmasters, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Rob Parton's Jazztech Big Band, Warren Covington/Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and many others. He has opened shows for Blood Sweat & Tears, Burt Bacharach, Christopher Cross, Three Dog Night, Crystal Gayle, Boots Randolph, Chubby Checker, America, John Davidson, Helen Reddy, The Platters, The Spinners, Chuck Mangione, Marie Osmond, Don McLean and many others. His audiences have included President Bill Clinton, George Clooney, Governor Ernie Fletcher, Governor John Y. Brown, Neil Sedaka, Patrick Swayze, Governor Martha Layne Collins, Smokey Robinson, Governor Wallace Wilkinson, Governor Paul Patton, Senator & Governor Wendell Ford, Governor Julian Carroll, The Pointer Sisters, and Senator Mitch McConnell.
David can perform as a "one man band". Using the latest musical equipment technology, he produces the sound of a full musical ensemble. The alto sax, soprano sax, clarinet, ewi, midisax, and keyboards are featured instruments in many of David's performances. Whether performing by himself or with The David Hall Band, music is tailored to your special occasion. David's songlist includes tunes made popular by famous artists such as Diana Krall, Kenny G, Grover Washington, Jr., Glenn Miller, Norah Jones, Duke Ellington, Spyro Gyra, George Benson, Stevie Wonder, and many others. Party DJ service is also available at his performances. If you like to listen to wonderful singers, David can bring an outstanding vocalist for your enjoyment. Jill Coffman, Melody Ragland, or Kyle Fugate are very talented vocalists and enjoy singing the music of Sade, Bonnie Raitt, Patsy Cline, Whitney Houston, Linda Ronstadt, and Barbra Streisand. Trombonist/Vocalist Carroll Hall, David's father, performs on many of David's musical engagements when the client is particularly fond of music from the big band era. He enjoys performing tunes made popular by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and many others.
David is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, married, father of three, enjoys fishing, is a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, and has fun with amateur radio (KI4CFD). He has been commissioned a Kentucky Colonel, is active with the Fayette Amateur Radio Team, and is a member of Madison Hills Christian Church. He also enjoys writing and publishes "Saxman's Notes", his blog and frequently posts on Twitter and Facebook. David is a 35 year member of The Lexington Musicians' Association, Local 554-635, American Federation of Musicians.
