Jackie Rees

Born in Wales, Jackie arrived in Australia to play Columbia in the original Sydney production of The Rocky Horror Show. Following this were roles in the musicals The Happy Prince, One of the Boys, and The Glitter Sisters, and the plays The Shifting Heart and O'Flaherty V.C. With the formation of the Mo Award winning theatrical group The Ritz Company, Jackie toured Australia, Europe and Asia, then recorded two albums. She also performed in Side By Side By Sondheim, Starting Here, Starting Now, Closer Than Ever, Stepping Out, A Swell Party, Oscar's Turn to Sing and the Sydney Theatre Company's Threepenny Opera. Jackie played Lady Jacqueline in Me and My Girl, and Carla Albanese in the four state tour and cast recording of the Tony Award winning musical Nine. She went on to sing on the Australian cast recording of Jesus Christ Superstar, which earned her a platinum compact disc. Television appearances include Hey Hey It's Saturday, Good Morning Australia and G.P. Movie work includes Call of the Wild, and The Alternative. Jackie made her first foray into opera in the international cast production of Aida.
